“oh yeah, when we were 4 abreast drag racing towards Woodcote chicane i thought WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!
Amazingly we all made it thru unscathed and in great form

The pics say it all… enjoy!
Speaking for myself, the Spyker has been a steep learning curve. The mid-engine car seems to be quite hard to balance compared to most cars I’ve raced. The Vettes are often hard to hang with and we have plenty of them this season. At RA we all managed to put up some good fights again.
Especially the IFM’s create a lot of really close racing with many position changes. The coolest most awesomest part was in race 2 when I was in the middle of the track and had no space to tuck in onto the racing line and at least 3 cars drafting eachother flew by me like I wasn’t good enough for their league. I had nobody to draft on until after they passed me. Then in the next turn we had a bunch of us together trying to get one another. Unfortunately some sudden maneuvers ended up in some damaged cars. It could have been a really long battle for positions. Definitely exciting. Fortunately all damage was repairable and I believe all cars made it to the finish. It was a great weekend at Road America. For the third event in the season the SHU Crew traveled to sunny California and the legendary Laguna Seca Raceway. Sporting tremendous elevation changes, the infamous Corkscrew complex and 2.24 sinewy miles of challenging track make this one of the world’s great circuits.
Situated on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, the drivers were torn between enjoying the relaxing party atmosphere and focusing on the races at hand. Clear skies and dry weather with a refreshing off shore breeze made for ideal race conditions all weekend.
