Macaurnage?

The gruesome images of the last race of the WTCC season are still vivid. For that reason this recap needs no photography. Those who watched it on TV may still be holding their breath right now… Half of us didn’t make it to the finish line. And the other half was beaten up by the time they got there. Many risks were taken and regretted.

The drivers I have interviewed with say that we now need to push the dark clouds away, lick our wounds, and look forward to sunny new seasons!

So let’s do that! Our first GT season is coming up after a short break, and we are also drawing up a serious FBMW season. Stay tuned, because the fun continues!

Our roving reporter is working overtime on the race recaps, in the meantime here’s some cracking shots from the last two events submitted by our fearless photographer.. enjoy!

High times at Zandvoort

Precision driving at Oschersleben

SHU is making plans for next season, and a poll decided that GT Club cars are our next source of adrenaline. If you are joining the season, please discuss the details with us on the forum. Also post in the sign up thread so you get your name on the list!

Alert! (updated)

XD 2.1.4 for Steam version 1.2.1.2 of RACE On now has a problem due to a Steam update. The update fixed the Steam overlay but broke the game as follows.

When you Alt-Tab out of RACE On when you have the XD utility installed, you will not be able to bring the game back up. It does not matter from where you do it (ie. menu, cockpit, car setup screen, etc). The game will either crash when you try to bring it back up, or it will come up invisibly. Removing XD from your installation ‘fixes’ this problem. Hopefully a new version will really correct this soon.

Thanks to HumpheryB on our crew, for bringing it to our attention!

Edit: There appears to be another workaround that lets you keep XD. You can disable the Steam Overlay (Shift+Tab) in the Steam Settings. Once you do that you can start the game and tab out as usual.
